“You’re Always Someone’s Type”
The college CSR club in collaboration with Narayana Health City conducted the Blood Donation Camp on 1st March, 2022 in the Xavier Auditorium at SJIM, Bangalore. The program was inaugurated at 10:30 a.m. by the Chief Guest - Dr. Girish C. J., who lead the team from Narayana Health City. Dr. Girish spoke on the impact of blood donation & how one donor can save 3 lives. Dr. Girish, in particular, put to rest any concerns from the potential donors with regards to the process and advised them on self-care after donation. By the end of the program, all students and staff were motivated and eager to save a life through the honorable act of blood donation. The camp went on for the rest of the day with great coordination between the medical team, student volunteers and the donors. The day was a reminder of how great an impact we have as individuals if we are willing to take initiative. Just 15-20 minutes of blood donation could add years to someone’s life. Dr. A. R. Rajagopalan, Dean SJIM and the Faculty Program Coordinator Dr. Venkateshraj were also present for the drive.
