The NIPM Student Chapter at SJIM was officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by dignitaries from the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM). The event was inaugurated by Mr. Dinesh A U, Chairman of NIPM-KC; Mr. Sheenappa Gowda M, Hon. Secretary of NIPM-KC; Mr. Sanjay, Vice Chairman of NIPM-KC and Chairman of the Student Interface Committee; and Rev. Father Manoj SJ, Director SJIM. The ceremony also included the announcement of the chapter's first council members, who will lead the student body and drive its initiatives.

The inauguration was a vibrant and inspiring event where the student members took the oath to abide by the principles set by the NIPM. This heralds a new collaborative effort between St Joseph’s Institute of Management and NIPM to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional development. The dignitaries addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of active participation in NIPM activities to enhance their knowledge, skills, and industry connections. The newly formed NIPM Student Chapter aims to serve as a platform for students to engage with HR and management professionals, participate in workshops and seminars, and contribute to initiatives that foster leadership and innovation.
The chapter’s vision aligns with NIPM’s broader mission of nurturing future leaders in the field of personnel management and human resources. With the leadership of the newly elected council and the guidance of NIPM, the chapter is expected to achieve remarkable success in the years ahead. The event was organized by Dr Nazia Z Memon, Assistant Professor, SJIM, who also spearheaded this initiative.
