Overview
St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) continues to be one of the top B- Schools for companies to recruit our students. SJIM Placement Cell mainly focus on delivering thorough business knowledge to students , making them industry ready right from the first day. In order to help students develop their natural talent and groom them to get placed in the organization’s best job roles , SJIM follows a structured Career Advancement Training process. The process focuses on the all- round development of students and a fruitful movement of students from campus to corporate.

In today’s vibrant job market, organizations look for core technical skills, excellent functional skills, learning and managerial skills and exceptional outlook in the young talents. Our Career Advancement Training programs, includes placement training modules which helps student to know where they stand and where they need improvement.

Our Training (CAT) modules for students align to the business needs and employer expectations. We have designed our training modules that teach basic life skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, leadership and decision making skills. Pre-placement training such as resume writing, group discussion and mock interviews are also conducted. The interactions from industry professionals ensures that students gain much needed practical knowledge and exposure. They stay tuned to the current industry trends. Seasoned professionals talk about various industry practices, emerging trends, opportunities and career options. Our students interact closely with the guests and learn from their experiences.

Our highest compensation has been Rs 22 lakhs per annum for 2022 batch. At least 70% of the companies who visit have recruited from us in the past which talks about the quality of our students and every year there are about 25% new organizations.

Industry Internship Program at SJIM :
Industry Internship Program (IIP) at SJIM is a great mechanism for the students to engage and evaluate interesting industry segments from their resources to make a pitch for a pre-placement offer (PPO). Summer Internship is a part of the course curriculum for the students. IIP is mandatory and the Internship usually starts in the first week of April and ends in the last week of May with duration of 8 weeks, full time. After the completion of the Summer Internship the students are required to submit the Internship report along with the company feedback. Thereafter, the students are evaluated based on the presentations of their Summer Internship projects. Following are the outcomes of the IIP:
• Provide a transitioning bridge between theory and practice for the students.
• Help forge strong relationships with the corporate for the Institute.
• Create a longer connect between the faculty and the industry, for assessing the outcomes delivered during the program and to fine
   tune it to meet industry requirements.
• Ensure greater access to the faculty who offer student mentorship & evaluation to make them industry-ready during the internship.

The summer internship program encourages students to undertake research based / On the Job projects in order to gain practical experience.
Most of the internships culminate with full time job offers.
The IIP has enabled seamless transition of students to be industry ready productive employees.
