SJIM - Research Center

The Center for Business Research at SJIM aims to create and disseminate cutting edge knowledge in management. Chaired by SJIM professors who have doctorates from the EQUIS accredited IIM Bangalore, the research center is a core part of SJIM's academic endeavors.

The Research Center engages in producing high quality research, aiming solely at double blind peer reviewed journals or conferences of reputed international academic bodies in business and management. Further, recognizing that a strong indicator of an institute's teaching quality is how much students are inspired to undertake higher academic study, interested students are provided opportunities to collaborate with faculty at the Research Center on research projects. The Center also undertakes those consulting projects for corporate organizations that have a clear learning value.

We invite you to go through the Center's activities and contact us for collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

The Center produces in-house research, as well as collaborates with academics from reputed business schools, on cutting edge research projects.

Student interest in pursuing academic research is a reliable indicator of the teaching quality at a business school. SJIM’s Center for Business Research encourages students to solicit guidance and collaboration with the faculty at the Center. Acknowledging that engaging in academic research is an exploratory endeavor for our students at the Masters’ level, we give students the latitude to decide outlets for their research. Thus, the rigor of research at the student level is deliberately less compared to the higher standards of the Center itself.
