Ms. Suchetha Bhat, CEO of Dream-a-Dream, a social enterprise that works among children and young people from vulnerable backgrounds, spoke to our students and shared her experiences. Ms. Bhat spoke about how Dream-a-Dream was founded by a group of around 10 volunteers who identified the need for imparting life-skills to youngsters. The non-profit organization has grown considerably and now partners with 5 state governments in India to conduct special courses for school students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The interactive session saw Ms. Bhat answer questions from students about her experiences in leading the organization, the nature of the competition for funding, how impact assessments are carried out to assess social change and the importance of partnerships.
