The industry expert lecture by Ms. Anjana Hariharan to the SJIM, PGDM students dealt with the topic “Talent Management in the Age of AI.” The aim of the lecture was to incorporate the latest market trends in the pedagogy and prepare students to adapt to changing requirements. We took a step closer to this goal with the enlightening presence of Ms. Anajana Hariharan. She introduced the use case of AI in HR transformation, particularly in talent management, and shared findings from various studies, including those by the IBM Institute of Business Value to demystify AI concepts for students. She took a personal interest in addressing every student’s doubt and concern about future prospects, and left them with a list of crucial skills needed for future work scenarios.

All the participants were provided certificate of participation by IBM. Ms Anjana has 25+ years of Business Leadership, Pre-Sales, Operations, Program Management, Consulting and Domain expertise spanning multiple industries (Utility, Communications, Government, Healthcare and Education). Currently, Anjana leads the Talent Transformation Service line in IBM India. She has the mandate to lead, build and grow a team of ERP, Change and Digital experts who advise clients in their HR transformation journey and implement HR based ERP and Applications in the client cloud environment using Generative AI.

Ms Anjana is passionate about the cause of Diversity and believes taking it forward to enable more women in their career journey. She is also an advocate of University Relations from IBM. We were also happy to have Ms Pooja Ranjan of 2000 batch SJCBA/SJIM now at IBM, the colleague of Ms Anjana joining the lecture and sharing her views on the topic as well. Dr Nazia Z Memon, Faculty at SJIM organized the lecture.
