St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) organized an enriching International Study and Industry Exposure Tour to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 20–24 October 2025, with 23 students accompanied by Dr. Avil Saldanha. The tour aimed to broaden global perspectives through academic learning, industry exposure, leadership development, and cultural immersion.
Students participated in leadership training sessions at Putra Business School, engaging in interactive modules and cross-cultural discussions. The program concluded with a MoU signing and certificate ceremony, marking a significant milestone in academic collaboration.
As part of the industry component, the group visited the Royal Selangor Pewter Manufacturing Facility, gaining first-hand insights into production processes, operational systems, and craftsmanship. This industrial interaction strengthened their understanding of practical business applications in an international setting.
Students also explored major landmarks including Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves, Genting Highlands, KL Tower, and Putrajaya, deepening their appreciation of Malaysia’s multicultural environment, tourism sector, and urban development.
The tour successfully enhanced students’ knowledge of global leadership, teamwork, communication, and international business practices, making it a valuable and transformative learning experience.
