Industrial Visit to Reserve Bank of India, Bangalore


On July 22, 2025, the PGDM I (Section B) students of St. Joseph’s Institute of Management visited the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Bangalore Office.

The visit offered an in-depth understanding of the central bank’s vital role in shaping the Indian economy. Senior RBI officials conducted engaging sessions covering the history of RBI, its core functions—monetary policy, regulation and supervision, currency management, foreign exchange management, and its role as the government’s banker. Students also gained insights into financial literacy, consumer protection, and grievance redressal mechanisms.

This enriching experience helped students connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications of central banking. We extend our gratitude to the RBI officials and faculty for facilitating this academic engagement. Industrial Visit to Strides Pharma, Anekal

On August 1, 2025, the PGDM I (Section E) students visited Strides Pharma, Anekal, The students were welcomed with a session by the HR team on the company’s history, departments, and diverse pharmaceutical products. A guided tour of the campus followed, highlighting sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting, water treatment, and waste segregation. The visit also showcased the automated warehouse and stringent safety measures for handling chemicals. Inside the production area, students witnessed the operations and machinery involved in manufacturing.

This industrial visit provided valuable exposure to pharmaceutical operations, sustainability initiatives, and industry practices. The visit was organized by Mr. Chandrakanth, the PRO.
