On July 22, 2025, the PGDM I (Section B) students of St. Joseph’s Institute of Management visited the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Bangalore Office.
The visit offered an in-depth understanding of the central bank’s vital role in shaping the Indian economy. Senior RBI officials conducted engaging sessions covering the history of RBI, its core functions—monetary policy, regulation and supervision, currency management, foreign exchange management, and its role as the government’s banker. Students also gained insights into financial literacy, consumer protection, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
This enriching experience helped students connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications of central banking. We extend our gratitude to the RBI officials and faculty for facilitating this academic engagement. The visit was organized by Mr. Chandrakanth, the PRO and accompanied by Ms. Sindhu David the Counsellor and Ms. Senalda Pereira the Accountant
