Topic: Guest Lecture on Brand & Communication
The Department of Marketing at St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) organized a Guest Lecture on Brand & Communication on November 7, 2025. The session was coordinated by Dr. Jessy Nair, Associate Professor & Area Coordinator – Marketing, and delivered by Ms. Aanandita Bhatnagar, an accomplished marketing leader with extensive global experience in marketing communications, brand strategy, and B2B marketing.
Ms. Bhatnagar’s engaging session provided students with a comprehensive understanding of branding, communication, and the modern marketing funnel. She explained how consistent and value-driven communication builds trust, visibility, and loyalty, forming the foundation of strong customer relationships.
The session explored the Marketing Funnel from Awareness to Loyalty, illustrating how today’s non-linear customer journeys are influenced by various digital touchpoints such as social media, SEO, and content marketing. Real-world examples helped students grasp key performance metrics including CTR, CRO, CLTV, NPS, and CSAT.
By distinguishing between the Marketing and Sales Funnels, Ms. Bhatnagar highlighted how strategic marketing drives awareness and qualified leads, while sales efforts convert these into lasting customer relationships.
The interactive lecture successfully bridged theory and practice, equipping SJIM students with valuable insights into customer behaviour, campaign design, and the power of effective brand communication in driving business growth.
