St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with St. Philomena’s Hospital on 19th August 2025 at Xavier’s Hall. The initiative aimed at creating awareness about the life-saving impact of blood donation while encouraging the SJIM community to extend their support to those in need.
The event began with a solemn inaugural ceremony, marked by the lighting of the lamp and an inspiring address by Rev. Dr. Roshan Pereira. Sr.Keerthi from St. Philomena’s Hospital felicitated about the commendable efforts in promoting Blood Donation.
Pre-event preparations ensured smooth and safe proceedings, with detailed donor guidelines and thorough medical check-ups conducted by the hospital staff. A total of 78 volunteers came forward with great enthusiasm; of them, 44 successfully donated blood.
Post-donation, all participants were provided with refreshments and certificates of appreciation by St. Philomena’s Hospital as a token of gratitude for their valuable contribution.
The camp concluded at 4:30 PM with a sense of fulfillment and joy. The overwhelming participation reflected SJIM’s commitment to service, compassion, and making a positive difference in society. The Event was organized by CSR Faculty Coordinator Dr. Leo Deepak and Student Coordinator Mr. Colin Pinto.
