St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) once again set the stage for an electrifying inter-college extravaganza with Verve 2025, held on the 6th and 7th of December, 2025. Anchored by the theme War Rooms of Wisdom, the fest brought together students from institutions across Karnataka for two days of intense competition, learning, and celebration. The campus witnessed vibrant engagement as participants demonstrated immense dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit throughout the event.

Designed as a dual-format inter-collegiate fest, Verve 2025 offered a balanced platform that combined strategic rigor with creative expression. The fest was distinctly structured into a Business Fest for Postgraduate students and a Cultural Fest for Undergraduate students, ensuring focused participation while delivering a holistic and enriching experience. Through a thoughtfully curated mix of events, participants were encouraged to apply conceptual knowledge, think critically, collaborate effectively, and perform under dynamic, high-pressure environments.

The event commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony, graced by the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. David Vincent, an esteemed alumnus of the 2009–2011 batch and Global Marketing Leader for Lenovo’s Device as a Service (DaaS) business. His keynote address set a reflective and motivating tone for the fest, offering valuable insights drawn from industry experience and emphasizing the importance of strategic thinking, adaptability, and leadership in today’s evolving professional landscape.

Business Fest
The Business Fest, exclusively designed for Postgraduate students, brought together some of the brightest managerial minds to compete across diverse functional domains. Participants showcased exceptional strategic acumen, analytical depth, and leadership capabilities while navigating complex, real-world business scenarios.

The business competitions were conducted across the following domains:
● Best Manager
● Marketing
● Finance
● Human Resource
● Business Analytics
● Operations
● Entrepreneurship
● Visual Marketing
● B-Quiz

Each domain tested participants not only on technical and conceptual knowledge but also on decision-making ability, teamwork, ethical judgment, and adaptability under pressure.

A distinctive feature of the Business Fest was the Best Domain Award, presented to the student organizing team of the domain that demonstrated exemplary planning, seamless execution, professionalism, and participant engagement. This award recognized operational excellence behind the scenes and encouraged organizers to uphold high standards of fairness, coordination, and overall event quality.

Runner-up – Business Fest: Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship

Cultural Fest
Running alongside the business competitions, the Cultural Fest, curated exclusively for Undergraduate students, unfolded as a vibrant celebration of creativity, talent, and expression. The cultural segment provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their artistic abilities through high-energy and visually captivating performances.

The cultural events included:

● Indian Group Dance
● Western Group Dance
● Battle of Bands
● Fashion Walk

Each performance reflected meticulous preparation, originality, and passion, keeping the audience engaged and adding a lively dimension to the fest atmosphere.

The atmosphere throughout Verve 2025 was nothing short of electric.
