St. Gallen Symposium (Switzerland) representative visits SJIM

On 18thNovember 2022, the student representative, Thomas Hoffmann, from the St. Gallen Symposium (Switzerland) visited SJIM to talk about the Symposium with the students of SJIM. The St. Gallen Symposium is the foremost student-driven event in the world in terms of its reach and ability to bring together large numbers of high-ranking personalities from both business and politics on a single platform to interact with young students.

This year’s topic for the Essay Competition of the Symposium is centered around “A New Generational Contract”. As Thomas explained, the topic deals with how can we deal with current, urgent challenges in a way that also sets the path for a more resilient, sustainable future.
In 2019, one of SJIM’s students, Nitish, was selected to attend the Symposium. Read about his experience at the Symposium here.
