On 30 th May 2019, SJIM organized a one-day Leadership Program for the entire faculty body of St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School (Bangalore). There were over 130 participants.

The program was inaugurated with a prayer by Mrs. Anitha followed by a welcome address by Rev. Dr. Manoj D’Souza (Director, SJIM). Rev. Fr. Sunil, the new Principal of SJBHS then spoke a few words to the participants.

The program coordinator was Dr. Caren Rodrigues (SJIM), who also hosted the inaugural session apart from conducting one of the morning sessions of the program. The other morning session was conducted by Dr. Anup Krishnamurthy (SJIM). Both these sessions were designed to cover management principles that would best help the faculty in their role as educationists and administrators. The participants were introduced to some of the world’s best management tools, and were shown simple ways in which to apply these tools in their specific contexts. The afternoon sessions comprised of two talks by members of the Old Boy’s Association (OBA) at SJBHS. Dr. Vashisth Das spoke about surmounting obstacles in life through compassion, which he learnt while at SJBHS; and Dr. C S Rajan spoke about how to be a better teacher through the lessons that he himself learnt over 30+ years as a General Surgeon. All the sessions were received well by the participants. Mrs. Ranjana and Mrs. Gauri gave the vote of thanks for the morning and afternoon sessions respectively.
