2019 Malaysia Immersion Program: SJIM students visit Putra Business School in Malaysia
The 2019 SJIM Malaysian Immersion Program to Kula Lumpur took place from August 11 th to
18 th , 2019. The program was jointly organized by SJIM, Putra Business School, and Talent
Group Asia. Seventeen of our students and Dr. Venkateshraj (faculty member of Finance)
participated in the program, which saw them take part in workshops at the Malaysian university
and visit various locations in Malaysia.
Our students attended sessions at the Putra Business School that were especially tailored to give
them insights into a Malaysian perspective on Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Blockchain.
Visits to various sightseeing locations like the Batu Caves and the Genting Highlands Cable Car
ride were also much appreciated. Our students returned from Malaysia with some pleasant
memories, and richer in knowledge and cultural experience.
This immersion program is a part of the increasing international exposure that SJIM is trying to
give its students. In addition to the Malaysian Immersion Program, SJIM also gives its students
the opportunity to visit USA through its partnership with Seattle University as part of the SJIM
USA Immersion Program.
