St Joseph’s Institute of Management hosted its second edition of the International Conference on 24 th and 25 th of January 2020. The theme of this year was “Sustainability Challenges in the Emerging Social and Business Landscape”. The opening address and welcoming remarks were given by Dr. Manoj D’ Souza Director. The Chief guest was Mr. Hari Menon CEO, Big Basket who detailed about the measures that Big Basket had taken to make good business as well as take care of the environment, like, using electric vehicles instead of petrol ones to deliver the products to consumers, delivering fruits and vegetables in paper bags and recyclable cardboard boxes and using solar energy which is efficient and sustainable.

Mr. Menon concluded on the note that people and the government have thousands of effective plans but they don’t have an effective execution system. The emphasis on execution will give success to any business or government trying to make changes in the society.
